Veterinary Student Internships / Externships
Established in 2007, Countryside Large Animal offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to veterinary students. As a full-service hosipital, interns will experience all aspects of a hospital, surgery, and ambulatory veterinary practice. Our primarily equine based clinic makes for easily accessible equine practice knowledge. Along with the equine aspect of our clinic comes a great amount of production animal experience including cattle, swine, goats, sheep, and camelid patients.
We strive to create an environment that allows the intern the opportunity to work with a variety of large animals to gain the experience and the skill set to have a successful career in equine and/ or large animal practice.
The duration of the internship program is 12 months. The program begins in June and ends the following June. Applications are accepted year-round with the deadline falling on January 1st for the internship year beginning in June. Notification of acceptance into the program is no later than February 15th.
