utilize some of the newest technology to analyze equine lameness. A great deal
of our veterinarians'
expertise is attributed to
a lifetime of experience and daily interactions with horses. The doctors have
all been involved in one aspect or another with raising, riding, shoeing,
training, and competing with horses for most of their lives. Horsemanship and an understanding of the horse makes
each one of them conscious of all aspects of the horse’s
health and well being.
CLAVS uses an Eklin digital radiography system
to provide highly detailed radiographs with superior quality. Digital
radiography provides much more detail of subtle bone changes
than are available with conventional X-rays. A PicoDigital ultrasound
is utilized for musculoskeletal (primarily tendon), respiratory, and abdominal
ultrasonography.
